Some have three M.2 slots, some have two, and some only one. WebPcie Gen 3 supports 1 Gigabyte of data transfer per PCIe gen 3 lane. So a 16 PCIe gen 3 lanes can support 16gb/s of data transfer. But the rtx 3090ti requires a bandwidth of 21gb/s. That needs a PCIe gen 4 connection, which gets 2gb/s per lane and therefore could support 32gb/s. But there is no GPU that uses that much bandwidth.
