By the time you cut the bore for the sleeve there is usually nothing left of the original cylinder wall, so there is no insulating effect. Sleeving is expensive usually around $80 bucks a hole. That would buy a nice factory fresh Ford block.

Have been using the ls9 on my other motor but supposedly they are only good to 4.100 bore and the 427 is a 4.175. Running an twins at about 16 psi but sadly still with ported 4 bolt heads until I recover from the TS bill.
